I bought this pack for my wife who is tough as nails but very picky about these kind of things (shoes, cloths, packs, sleeping bags, beds, etc.) Think Princess and the pea. I have an Osprey Atmos for backpacking and love the way it carries so thought we would try the Stratos for her day pack. I was honestly expecting her to find something wrong with it and send it back but lo and behold, SHE LOVES IT! It's big enough to fit all the layers you strip off later in the day after cold alpine starts along with food for a day or two and a bivy. The trekking pole ties and ice ax loop are nice features along with the hip belt pouch. She loves how you can access your water bottles from the mesh pouches on the sides without taking off the pack (also a nice feature on my Atmos). It does have the pouch for a water bladder if that's how you carry your water. The one thing she doesn't like is that it makes some noise when walking. Not really an issue for me but it drives her crazy. I think that's going away though as it get broken in. She's been using it for four months now and didn't really say anything about it this last weekend. Could be that she is just used to it by now but either way it's not really an issue anymore. I'm way excited she likes it. All in all this was a great purchase.

Awesome fit straight outta the box!, wonderful for a full day hike, would also be good for a quick light weight overnight. love the features and the panel loading (i had a large top loader before and it was a pain to get everything in and out) i got the S/M and its a perfect fit for me (5’7” 140lbs), and Osprey fan forever I will be, and actually just bought my wife the sirrus (womens version) of the same pack!

My boyfriend and I had been looking for him a new backpack, the one size only bags looked miniature on his back, he is 6'2". This backpack sits well on his back. The mesh back also creates a nice space without being too padded, which creates sweat on the camelbacks.

We use this day pack a lot. It is great for hikes. Very comfortable as it does not touch your back. Multitude of pockets allows you to organize your little stuff. Only drawback that I can see is its rigid frame which doesn't allow much of bulkier items in your pack. However because of it it is very nicely ventilated. Sweaty backs are less likely.

We use this for trips when we fly with only carry on. We love to carry a few things when out exploring for the day.

This is a great pack for what it was designed for; day hiking. The pack is comfortable and rides well. The interior pouch takes a Camelbak 3L resevoir. My only complaint is that the side pockets designed for water bottles will not fit with the 1L Nalgine or the 750ml Camelbak. They both don't fit and because the pack rides higher, for me, even if they did fit I can't reach them. Nice pack --

This is a great full-featured pack. Plenty of easy access pockets. This pack will hold up to a 3-liter hydration bladder. This pack is very stable and you can really load it down. A perfect combination of lightweight, handy features, quality materials.
