Reviews & Ratings for Outdoor Research Alti Gloves - Men's
— 5 reviews — Page 1
These gloves seem to have adequate insulation, but they are not dexterous enough for tinkering with gear. Maybe they just didn’t fit my hand type well. Using the BD Guide Glove as the benchmark, I would not expect the Altis to have a long lifecycle. The design/fabric does not appear to be durable en...

Only use these gloves well below freezing because they are pretty warm. Generous wrist shroud to go over outer jacket easily and wrist cinch is easy to do with the other hand gloved up. The grip material on the main glove is fantastic. Only thing I didn't like was the thick rubber grip pads on the tips of the liner's fingers that makes it a little harder than it should to get the liner fully worked into the main glove that OR should find another solution. Makes fingertip dexterity with the outer glove on a bit clumsier than I feel it could be, even though these are very thick gloves.
Pros:
warm
water/wind proof
glove liner reasonably functional on its own
Cons:
rubber fingertips on liner

Jacket came in on time. Awesome quality and fit. Will be using for Rainier climb and as primary jacket up to 3000 meter climbs. The stuff sack included works well to clip on pack for quick donning. The main pockets are well positioned on the jacket and zipper quality is high.

Bought this pair to replace another OR pair that have been my favorite gloves for over 10 seasons. These are comfortable and seem super warm, but haven’t tried them out in the cold yet. The features are great and feel well built/designed like all OR products. Fit seems to run on the small side, but might get looser as the materials compress with use. (I bought them a size larger than usual but they fit perfect) Can’t wait for the snow season to start and put them to use!
Pros:
Look good
Build quality
Cons:
Runs a little small
Best Used for:
Ski
baord
