The warmest gloves Outdoor Research makes. Part of the "Alti-Heat" series. Endraloft insulation. Gore-Tex water proof liner. Made in Cambodia. These are "over the sleeve" gloves. Two batteries per glove that fit into two separate zippered pockets (one on the inside front, one on the outside back). There is a cord in each of the zippered glove pockets that the batteries plug into. Gloves come with two sets of two batteries (no extras), so you can use the gloves as soon as the batteries charge. Takes about a day to initially charge the batteries. Raised "OR" button is on the outside front of the glove cuff. Hold down "OR" button for 3 seconds or so to turn it on. The "OR" button turns red (max heat) initially. A click of the "OR" button turns the "OR" to orange-yellow (medium). Another click turns the "OR' button to green (low). Hold it down for 3 seconds or so, and it's off. The gloves themselves are not visually spectacular considering the retail price is $ 500. For $ 500 retail I was expecting some really nice leather gloves. They are not bad, just don't expect some fancy leather gloves. They are heavy duty polyester fabric on the back with leather reinforcements on knuckles, back of hand, finger tips. There are a lot of seams. The palms roughened leather and inside of the thumbs and fingers are leather. Doesn't look much different than some $ 100 retail winter unheated gloves, but heavier.
