Wow
Having read dozens of glowing reviews, I was pretty sure I'd like this, but having worn it now, twice, in pretty nasty weather, I can say that this is the best soft shell jacket I've owned. The cut is great, it's light and best of all, it actually breathes. I mean it really, really breathes. And it stretches. And I bought the Ferrosi pants. And I love them too. This jacket is one of those pieces of gear that doesn't need ANY updates. So please, OR, don't North Face this jacket.

Best softshell ever!
Soft, comfortable, blocks wind, light rain, durable and breathable. I've even slept in it and it's the best. Worn it everyday since I got it. Highly recommended.

Does Everything They Say
When the wind blows and the temp is in the thirties, with a base and mid layer, it feels comfortable. It also breathes well and does repel a drizzle sufficiently.
The problem I have is with the hood. My hoody is size large and my head size is 7 1/4, which is also considered large. The hood when cinched closed to keep out the wind, covers my eyes, so is pointless. The hood for a size large must be designed for XXXL head or for wearing over a helmet. Have to use a rubber band to tie up the back so I can see.

So far so good!
The Ferrosi is incredibly lightweight and made of a very comfortable stretchy fabric, so far I have used it on a few winter runs (30 degrees with a base layer underneath) and I've been warm and not too sweaty. The only water repellent testing I've done with it was some light shoveling and it held up to really mild precipitation just fine but I know it inst the best in regards to waterproofing. I am 5'10" and 130 pounds and a small fits snugly on me, the sleeves rest right on my wrists and do not drop when arms are lifted above my head. The wind resistance is nice especially considering how breathable this jacket is. Great jacket for the price, rated one of the best buys on several gear review sites. I definitely recommend it.

Gift for the climber
Bought as gifter for my son who is an avid rock climber. He loved the material and construction along with the features of this jacket. Lightweight but protective and non-restrictive when reaching for that next hold.

Best lightweight softshell
Hands down the best three seasons jacket I've ever owned. I wear mine everyday. Light enough to wear inside without sweating too. I've worn it on extensive, high exertion hikes and it has breathed very well too. Would buy one for each day of the week of the wife would let me.

So far so good
I've only had the opportunity to wear this a few times, but in light rain it shed the water with no problem and the breathability is better than any hard shell I've had. At 6' and 160lbs a medium fit me well, and the stretchiness of the fabric enables unrestricted movement, even when layered with a light fleece underneath.
