Most Helpful Positive Review Happy Dogs
The temperature has been below 0 degrees fahrenheit recently and my dogs have suffered. Not from the cold, but from MY inability to endure the frigid temps - especially with my hands. I suffer from Reynauds and even though I was at first skeptical, I thought that these mittens might be my best shot at a remedy. Thanks to Campsaver's wonderful return policy, I had nothing to lose. Compared to Outdoor Research's Alti Mitts, which mostly everyone claims to be the warmest solution to cold hands, their Lucent Heated Mitts for people like myself, with Raynauds, actually turned out to be the solution...

Nice and Warm, Runs Small

by plannersteve, Verified Owner from ID, United States Written on February 21, 2019
I've suffered from cold hands skiing for several years. These mittens are great for a cold day of skiing. I have both the Lucent Gloves and Mittens. Usually only use the mittens when it is colder than 10 degrees as the Lucent gloves are fine above that. The grip with these mittens is adequate for use with ski poles. The cuff is on the small side so those who want to put the cuff over their coat sleeves may find that difficult. I put the cuff inside my coat sleeves so it works great for me. The controls work pretty good although sometimes the heat setting will change during a ski run. With the mittens, I find that I seldom use the high setting even with temps around zero, so battery life has been adequate for a day of skiing.
These definitely run small. I measured and the OR sizing said buy Large, but that was way too small. X Large is working fine for me.

Good, But No Risk of Burns

by James B., Written on February 26, 2016
I have poor circulation, especially on my left side, courtesy of a traumatic brain injury. I bought these for handicap skiing. So far, the mittens keep my hands warmer than chemical packs, but I don't know how one would get burned. Since I have no temperature sensation on my left side, I was concerned and worked my way up cautiously. No worries. Quality of the mittens is high, though the battery connection doesn't look overly reliable (as others have noted). No problems so far.

Happy wife...happy life!

by James P., from VT, United States Written on January 2, 2015
Bought these for my wife who has chronically cold hands...she loves them! Her hands are toasty during an entire day of alpine or backcountry skiing in Vermont or Utah.
