I wanted hand protection for a mid to late October mule deer hunt in Idaho. It's going to be at a high elevation 5000 ft. all the way to 11000 ft. We will do alot of glassing from exposed ridge tops, often above tree line. The wind and temperatures in the teens can humble the toughest outdoors folks. Hoping these gloves extend periods of time that I will be able to be out (dawn till dusk). Only negative is price... but quality comes with cost usually. Waited for a sale & they were still pricey.. will put them to the test fall/winter 2021.
Pros:
Quality & features
Cons:
$$$
Best Used for:
Outdoors, very cold Temps

Build quality is excellent on both the outer shell and inner glove liner. I typically find that most XL gloves are just about the right size for my hands and these are sized slightly larger than most manufactures, so they run slightly large. The inner palm and grip section of the thumb seem to be made with a thicker more durable piece of fabric but not too stiff (good for carring snowboard and n

I've used these a couple times now snowkiting in temps below 10 degrees, add the wind chill and gloves just don't cut it for me. These have done the trick and with the inner glove liner, it feels like you have more dexterity than regular mitts. Sure, a little bulky, but so far they've worked great.
