This is my second Seattle Sombrero- it's perfect for hiking and kayaking. It's comfortable and protects my head from the sun. The Velcro makes it easy to wear with the brim turned up or down. I love that it's waterproof and keeps my head dry in the rain. This is a high quality hat. My only complaint is that the lining makes it hot in the summer.
