Best Backpacking Hat

Just purchased my second one. Lightweight, collapsible, great rain and sun protection. Perfect length chinstrap for high winds or hanging off my backpack. Previous response and product description says these hats are water resistant not waterproof but I have been in several days of rainy weather with zero issues. My head and the fabric has always been dry underneath. OR does sell a GORETEX (waterproof) version of this hat for $10 more but personally I have never had a issue.

Wonderful Hat

I am very happy I went with this Outdoor Research hat. It is really bomber and made tough to last. It does a great job of protecting my face from the sun without being overly bulky. The chin strap is perfect for the windy place I live.

Light weight

The hat is very well made, lightweight, and folds up small. The brim is a good size and will be excellent for sun protection. No rain so I don't know how well it works in the rain. I'll update if possible after rain test.

Great hat!

This hat is perfect. It doesn't get too hot and it keeps my pale skin hidden from the sun. I wear it all the time when I am reffing. It can catch wind sometimes but that is to be expected and as long as you have it on well it will stay on your head.

Crazy blue hat at a great price....

Will use on Grand Canyon rafting trip. Color is kind of crazy, but it was reduced and I don't have to look at myself anyway! Like the adjustable sizing and chin strap so I still have a hat if I swim.
This got to me in amazingly quickly and with free shipping===along with a few other items. Great prices, good selection, and easy to use website.
