Preliminary impression is great - Outdoor Research Trailbreaker Pants - Mens

I haven't skied in these, so this review mostly addresses the fit.

I'm 5'9", 145#. I wear 30" waist jeans. I'm a cyclist, so my legs may be a bit bigger than normal, but they are not noticeably large.

The small was quite tight in the thighs & butt. I could wear them but the pockets were useless & there was definitely no extra space. The waist was ok.

Now I have the mediums, and the thighs/butt are perfect. There is enough room for the pockets to have things in them without stretching the pants, and my thighs feel unrestricted. The waist, of course, is too big, but the velcro adjusters take care of that.

The suspenders on these are super-adjustable with long strips of velcro, but they sure are bulky. I would prefer much more svelte suspenders, and may end up re-sewing my own.

Overall I think these will make a great replacement for my much loved Patagonia Dimension pants from years ago.
