This is warm, but doesn't have much leeway to expand or shrink
I've been aware of aerogel for over 20 years when they had some on display at Disneyland. So finding a beanie that used that product was very interesting for me to try, and I wanted to get another beanie/hat product for a future trip. I've been using it during my morning walks since it got cold and it works, but for me, it only covers about half of my ears and unlike a wool beanie/hat it doesn't really have room to expand/shrink. So it might not fit you.

Thin insulation
Tested this beanie and was very disappointed. It has a fleece lining on the inside. I could barely feel any primaloft in the insulating layer. Ran some water through it and it went right through the hat. Is there really aerogel in this? It's essentially a really expensive fleece beanie.
