It is acrylic. Yuck.

If I wanted an acrylic hat, I would go to Walmart. Why outdoor research would make such a cheapey hat is hard to figure. Hard to tell it is this low quality in a picture. I will be more careful in the future.

  • Acrylic. Hate acrylic.

  • Giving away to relation who likes acrylic hats

The Campsaver site said this was 100% wool. So I bought it, thinking it was a good price for a wool beanie. It's not wool, it's 100% acrylic yarn. Made in China. It's not a bad hat, but I wanted wool. Lesson learned, check the manufacturer website for the specifications before you buy. Outdoor Research says it's acrylic on their website. The hat I lightweight and comfortable. If you don't mind acrylic, it's a good lightweight beanie.
