The inside is very soft and comfortable. I am
always cold and this kept me very warm.
I have several compliments on the color.
I can't wait to purchase another sweater in
a different color and style.

I haven't been able to put this jacket to any real test yet since I just got it yesterday, but my initial impression is positive. I'm 5'4", 135lbs, athletic build, and I ordered a Medium. When I put my arms down the sleeves come down to the knuckle on my thumbs. The bottom hem comes down almost to the bottom of my butt. The hood is roomy, but the shape makes it feel like it wouldn't blow back in a strong wind. The general shape of the jacket is tailored so you can tell I have a waist, but it is generally a loose fit. This is what I was going for when I ordered it since I got it for backpacking and I need to be able to layer up under it. I ordered black so there isn't much to say about the color. It's black. The fabric is soft and warm. Everything about it gives me the impression it is a quality product. However, the true test will be how it holds up on my 5 day backpacking adventure in Peru later this year and how warm it keeps me.

Very true to size. Length is great and price was great!!! Love this jacket very warm. Was nervous that the material would be more of a soft fleece feel but was happy when it arrived and it wasn’t. Will definitely get another in a different color.

I bought this recently after eyeing it up for almost a year while it was on sale. I wanted a nice layering/in between type jacket for the long Minnesota winters and also for traveling in Iceland and northern Europe. I'm 5'3 and 150lbs, and ordered the large because I wanted it to be roomy so I could wear thicker layers underneath as well. It arrived earlier than expected and fit just like I was hoping it would in the body and length. The sleeves were a little long and wide however, so I usually cuff them up if I plan on wearing this jacket as my top layer. However, I later decided I liked the length in the sleeves when layering it under my Patagonia 3-in-1 jacket - the longer sleeves go just past my knuckles and don't bunch up inside my jacket. The sweater itself is very warm and comfortable, and I've been able to wear it alone actually on warmer days (30-40 degrees). Its very flattering and in the birch white color it matches with just about everything. Overall love the jacket, though I do sometimes wish the sleeves were just a bit shorter and slimmer. Don't regret the purchase at all!

Patagonia has changed the design and I love this original jacket/sweater. I purchased one in each color. It is a perfect layering piece or to just wear alone.

Provided sufficient warmth alone or under a vest as a layering piece. Nice quality and flattering trim.Really like the zipper placement on the arm, it's my new go to sweater

I just received this. Tried it on and the fit was way off. Chest too tight, tight in shoulders as well.
I wear a small in all the fleece brands Jack Wolfskin, Helly Hanson, etc.
I'm 5 6" 113 lbs. this should have fit.
The quality as bad as the fit. I've always thought Patigonia was way over priced and have opted to pay for wolfskin & HH instead.
Guess I should've stuck with my instincts.
Haglofs has a much better jacket of this type. Bit more money but well worth it. Better features as well.
