Most Helpful Positive Review nice sweater
I am a lanky 6 ft tall, 175 lbs and was torn between a med and lrg. I am kind of in between sizes. I usually wear a large but can wear mediums in some brands. I purchased the large and glad I did. My arms are pretty long and my wingspan is probably a couple inches longer than I am tall so I needed the extra length in the arms. I would say it is a little bit smaller than a lighter down I have from marmot. The fit is much better too. Much more snug around the stomach area where a marmot has kind of a weird shape for me in a large. squash shaped kind of. The patagonia isn't like that. Much mor...

Well made. Warm, light, versatile. Good for morning walk. The hoody keep me dry on misty mornings. I have several Patagonia butter wear. Their layering design is great. Easy caring as well. Can be washed in washing machine.

Down Sweater Hoody

by Dennis, from NH, United States Written on January 30, 2018
The jacket fits well and came as described. The delivery was on the faster end of the delivery window that was shown. Can't go wrong with a Patagonia product. Campsaver has quite a selection of products to choose from.

Very warm, very light, very comfortable

by HokieTim, from MN, United States Written on January 19, 2018
Love it so far although I've only had it a couple weeks. It's very comfortable and very warm for the weight. It's not my go to for absolutely frigid MN days, but is working great for the don't-quite-wish-you-were-dead-yet days (so down to 0F).
Pros:
  • warm yet light
Cons:
  • None so far
Best Used for:
  • 10F and above

Patagonia Down Hoody

by Jimbob, from CA, United States Written on January 13, 2018
I love this hoody! I bought my wife one, and had to get one for myself! It’s so light yet so warm! I looked at other brands but Patagonia won on quality, comfort and great warranty! You’ve got to support a company that supports its customers!

Best down jacket

by Iisfinxii, from CO, United States Written on January 13, 2018
Patagonia is probably the best in outdoor gear in my opinion. All their gear has a guarantee for life of the product and Patagonia will repair typically no cost to customer. This down jacket is just amazing, awesome a an outer layer for dog walks at 10pm 20°f or as a mid layer for ski sports.

Cozy, warm, compact down jacket

by Calvin, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on December 11, 2017
As a new owner of this jacket, I'm finding it to be fairly warm for some of the colder Chicago, Illinois winters. The pockets are warm and the jacket is true to size. I'm thankful I spent a little extra on the hood, since that really helps retain the warmth (in comparison to wearing a hat, which wouldn't wrap around my neck like this jacket). I had to learn, however, that to put the hood on/off, I have to unzip the jacket a few inches below my neck to give it enough slack. The zipper can have a tendency to snag at the neck when you have the hood up, so you need to make sure you hold the collar up straight when zipping/unzipping (likely exacerbated by wearing a scarf which puts outward stress on the jacket's neck). Overall, I'm happy with the jacket, especially at the (sale) price I got it. I look forward to wearing it more during these winter months, and for light camping / backpacking trips.
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • Packable
  • Hood
  • Integrated stuff sack
Cons:
  • zipper is a little snaggy
  • No external chest pocket
Best Used for:
  • Backpacking
  • HIKING
  • Winter
  • snow

great jacket

by lirvel, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on December 8, 2017
Very warm, very comfort. Function wise A+
Runs a bit large. I am 6 ft. 160 lbs. I will say if you are fit, you might feel the upper back and shoulder part is a bit tight, and the lower torso is a bit loose. Also the stuff sack is pretty tight. It takes some work to stuff the whole jacket into the pocket.

Great price, great jacket, but chose High Loft Hoody instead

by Ryan C., Verified Owner from MA, United States Written on March 15, 2017
I ordered this jacket in Legend Green for a great price. It's a nice jacket, but the color was not for me. I preferred the High Loft version of this coat for more neutral colors, higher loft, and more casual style and greater warmth. FYI, the on the down sweater hoody zips very high, such that it can cover your face. Depending on your needs, this can be a feature or a flaw.
