Patagonia down sweater - mens - french red xl - Patagonia Down Sweater - Mens

Bought it on clearance since it was prior season's color of French Red which looks stunning.
The jacket fits relatively well though it's meant as a light jacket or heavy sweater. You can wear a long sleeve undershirt and up to a midweight fleece sweater underneath to keep warm. Otherwise, the shoulder area gets tight. The down sweater goes down to the waist.
It's relatively warm especially when worn over layers and can be worn down to the low-mid 40s F and it does block out some wind.
The handpockets are roomy enough to hold fleece gloves which is a must during the cold, wintry months and provides some warmth as it's designed behind the goose layer of the jacket.
You can roll it up and stuff it into one off the hand pockets which makes it convenient.
The outer nylon shell is a bit thin so be careful as it can get snagged and will rip.
The jacket does get dirty over time but throw it into the washer using a down cleaner or even gentle detergent and baking soda and run on gentle spin then fluff dry with some dryer balls to fluff out the down. May have to hand dry if it's still a bit moist.
Pros:
Looks great
Relatively warm
Stuffable for travel
Cons:
limited colors
Pricey (Patagucci)
Could be roomier
Thin nylon shell
Delicate to wash
Best Used for:
Daily wear
