Patagonia Down Sweater

Purchased for a hiking trip in Peru. Excellent for layering - I was warm at 17,000 feet with the down sweater and a long sleeve! I also like how easily it can be compressed. A good choice for backpacking trips where space is at a premium.

Best of both worlds

This is really like a sweater and a jacket in one. Not as puffy as my down coat and a sleeker fit so i can wear it indoors and out. I am usually a size 6-8 in tops and a medium fits well with room for a thin sweater. I’ll plan on buying more of these.

Keeps you warm not the slimmest fit

The jacket I feel keep you wear to the 40s with a T shirt, 30s if you layer. It has a regular fit. Bc I am busty I went with a medium. I think a small would have fit better otherwise. I’m 5’3. It’s a little bit all around and a bit long for my height but itdoesnr look terrible and does the job!

Good experience

After doing a lot of research on a good down jacket I decided on this one. So far ok...I'm heading to Spain biking...so will see how it holds up. After purchasing this item, I decided to look at reviews of campsaver. Oh my, I was thinking, I should of read all this first. It happened, I received an email saying I needed to contact them to confirm data. I called the next day. It went well. I told the person I was in need of this item to arrive on time. They changed the delivery for me to two days, no extra charge, and gave me a 10 percent off coupon. I'm happy with my experience.

Patagonia Down Jacket

The Patagonia down sweater is a jacket but acts like a sweater because it is light weight but super warm & cozy. I just love it and wear it all the time and prefer it over my other winter jackets. I have not owned a down jacket before so was hesitant at first but glad I ordered it. I also love the deep pockets and contrasting color options.

Lightweight, but Surprisingly Warm Jacket

I bought this jacket after wearing a friend's for a few weeks while housesitting for her. I couldn't believe how NOT bulky it was, but how warm it kept me. As a reference point, I live in Charlotte, North Carolina, where there are only a few days each winter when it dips below freezing (nights can be colder). The point is: I doubt this is a go-to jacket for upstate Michigan, but you probably know that. It IS a perfect non-dressy yet classy jacket for Southern winters!

not impressed

Finally bought a Patagonia down, since pretty much all my friends have/love theirs. I'm unsure if it's the new fit, which lots of folks seem to dislike, or what, but I was really not impressed. I don't like the fit, tight through shoulders and arms, but loose from the chest down. It's billed as midlayer, to me that means you should be able to wear a base layer and a light fleece underneath. The tight fit through the shoulders and arms makes this uncomfortable. Moreover, compressing the down to that extent negates its insulation properties. Speaking of warmth, not impressed there either. I returned mine. Try it on in a store to save yourself the hassle. I'm 5'7", #140 and ordered the medium.
