This is a surprising jacket from Patagonia, given that the zipper is low quality and there is no cuff or anything to block wind in the sleeves. I expect more from a relatively expensive winter coat. Their sizing also strikes me as off. I am 5 foot 3 and usually wear a small but ordered medium so I could fit bulky sweaters underneath. No chance. The sleeves were absurdly long and the waist area super tight when zipped. I guess they are designing for very thin Amazonian women.

This is a very comfortable coat. Perfectly puffy and keeps the wind out. Not quite as warm as I had thought it would be (40°weather =good, 20° = chilly), but the hood helps out in the really cold temps. I am 5'8" and usually wear a medium or large. The large fits well with room for another thin, fitted layer underneath for extra warmth. Great color too!

I first bought this jacket in a teal blue in a size medium. I loved it but I could not layer under it. I kept it anyway. I love the large collar and also the warmth it provided. I bought a larger jacket, I think it is called a North Face jacket from a different store. It was not warm even though I layered under it. .I returned it. Now I do admit I stay cold. I bit the bullet and bought a second jacet in black in a large. I kept the first one. I truly love this jacket. The first one, the blue one, the zipper does get caught around the pocket. I have to be careful. The black one, this does not happen at all. The collar on both are hard to zip up by the throat, I'll have to figue that out. All I can say I give it 5 stars, both coats. I love them.

This is a super cozy winter jacket. It is super duper warm. I was looking for something lighter weight so I decided to send it back, but if I didn't already have a super warm jacket I would have kept it. The fabric seems very durable. The jacket is very bulky, but the fit was still very flattering with a little bit of shaping. The collar is giant. You can wear it so you have this huge collar around your neck, or there's a hidden zipper in the back to let you unzip a full hood (there IS a full hood on this, contrary to another review -- you just have to hunt for the zipper!) which is great. The hood was also very big (maybe slightly too big?). The jacket is bulky enough that it isn't really stuff-able/pack-able.

I ordered a small and it fit perfectly. I am 5'2", 134lbs, have ~35" bust, 27" waist, 36" hips, normally wear a size small in tops.
I ordered the teal color and it was a little lighter/more pastel shaded than I would have cared for. I just like darker colors because they are easier to match to other things in my opinion.

Overall, for the sale price on here this would be a really good jacket for super cold winter activities in Minnesota.

Love this jacket. It's stylish, comfortable and super warm. The only downfall is that this does not have a functional hood as some sites describe-- it only unfolds enough to cover the crown of your head. It really functions only as a high collar. If you don't need a hood, it's a great choice. I'm 5'-6" with a lean athletic build and the small fit perfectly

Great jacket for cold winter. Recently purchased for trip to Telluride and was plenty warm in single digit weather. I love the fitted, fashionable look of this coat. Other reviewers didn't like the collar but I personally really enjoy it and I like the hidden hood for when you need it. I read tons of reviews because I was unsure of the sizing. I'm 5'7" and 150lbs with athletic build, ended up getting the medium and so glad I did. I can wear a big sweater underneath with no problem. Large would have been too big.
