Most Helpful Positive Review A perfect layering jacket
I've always bought and trusted The North Face products but recently I noticed a dip in quality, so I switched to Patagonia when it was time to purchase a new down jacket. The Fitz Roy is a perfect layering jacket - so light and warm. Great fit (I'm 6'0, 215 and a L fits like a glove). My wife and kids were taken aback by the shiny fabric, but I like it - different from the rest. The only downside is that nylon fabric seem so delicate, but no issues so far.

It's very warm and warm

Now it's so cold in North America, it feels very comfortable in this dress. A great repair. It's a little down that will run out, the clothes are very perfect, the colors and the pictures are slightly different, very light, and very fluffy.

Extremely lightweight, warmer and higher loft than more popular down sweaters

At the end of the day, this jacket is superior to the much more popular Down Sweater. The styling is admittedly slightly less attractive than the down sweater, but it has superior warmth and seems similar enough that this just makes more sense for someone intending to use it as a stand-alone outer layer. The jacket is not bulky by any stretch, but is not as fitted as the down sweater, so if you intend to use this piece as a mid-layer, either could work depending on your preferences. This jacket seems more versatile. I would have preferred a better elastic cuff on this jacket comparable to that on the down sweater, though I think this was a conscious decision to save weight.
