I took them right out of the box up Kiener's route on Longs Peak (CO) over the 4th of July. They worked perfectly in the morning cold. I tied a shoelace around the bottom and they doubled as gators, fitting nicely over my boots. No issues with wear and tear, even with crampons rubbing occasionally. They were breathable even when the sun came out and it started getting warmer. Very flexible, and as waterproof as I needed them. The pockets were perfect for stashing a phone below my harness, as well as couple energy bars. I didn't quite get the waist adjustment system until I saw the video, then I realized all you have to do is pull the cord and the button creates tension that holds them in place. Getting ready to take them up Rainier in a couple weeks, and then I'll know how they do in more extreme terrain.
