this is the perfect coat for the cold NewEngland winter. It's true to size (I am 6'3'' 206 and the L fits me perfectly), the hood is a fair size to wear without an helmet, and it is detachable. overall quality is up to Patagonia standard and should last a long time.

Great, Versatile Jacket

The Tres 3 in 1 Parka is well made and feels good to wear. I've worn it in very cold, windy weather several times now, and it's performed well each time.

The one drawback I've found is that the liner snaps are weak; one snap popped off the second time I wore the jacket. I decided not to return the jacket because I could just safety pin the loop closed, and I got such a great deal from Campsaver that I didn't want to risk losing it in the return process. There's no downside in the solution I found anyway, so I'm happy.

Despite the inner shell jacket

Despite the inner shell jacket being cheaply made, the outer shell makes up for it and together, the 3-in-1, is overall worth the purchase.

This is a really nice, versatile jacket. It's warm, and looks good, and the quality is really good. Not sure I'd pay full-price for it, but getting it on sale was good.

you need better coat for extreme cold weather conditions. material is high quality. i have not seen any zipper problem as some of the reviewers stated.

nice jacket combo

Love the parka so far. One slight issue I found is regarding the double zipper. the lower zipper seemed a bit difficult to get unzipped after moving it out of home position. other than that, love it so far!

Patagonia Tres 3 in 1 Parka

Minimalist styling and very functional, warm parka.. Surprisingly light, slim fitting.. I wanted something I could wear on a weekend or for work on a wet, cold day without looking like I was going to the frozen tundra. The navy color is the perfect antidote to the nice but too common black. I am 5'8", 160lbs and went with the small, though I could have done a medium.
