We do our research before buying gear, so we go by the "by it once" approach. This jacket is light and warm; throwing in stylish is just a bonus. We plan on this jacket being the layer to put on, over or under, to provide the warmth to get another lap on the slopes, resort or backcountry. We don't cancel for weather, and on our backpacking trips, a warm, dry layer to put on in the tent is the best of feelings. I'd be glad to give a review in a couple years and tell you what we think then!
