Secure and Flexible

by Don H., Verified Owner from WY, United States Written on September 18, 2017
Most of my photography is landscape or wildlife shots while hiking or X-C Skiing. The Capture Camera Clip attaches to my backpack strap, which I would be hiking with anyway, negating the need for a separate strap or bag. The quality construction of the product gives me confidence that my camera wont be damaged. The camera doesn't bounce around, and it is readily available for those quick wildlife shots.
Pros:
  • Price is steep, but justified by the quality.
Cons:
  • NONE
Best Used for:
  • Hiking, skiing, outdoor activities.

Yukon Tested

by Jeffrey L., Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on August 10, 2017
Good quality item with firm attachment and control of the camara. The screws on either side of the clip that hold the clip on a shoulder strap are short, working only marginally on my REI backpack. I was concerned with the number of threads holding it on but, it worked. Longer screws are available for separate purchase but the clip is expensive enough - I,ll find screws at the local hardware. Even with longer screws however, the horseshoe side of the clip will be a weak point in that it will be susceptible to unhooking in some circumstances.

While much better than a simple neck strap to hold the camera, the capture is not my dream device. My test usage might be a little more demanding than the norm though. Horseback riding in the rugged wilderness of the Yukon Territory is a difficult challenge for any camara control device. Overall it worked reasonably well even with long lenses attaching to the camera.
