Works as expected. Some changes made for an improved Grigri but it won't last as long as the original. Good device for use while cragging , either sport or trad, or at the gym. Overall a good belay device, perhaps the best.
Pros:
  • easy catch

  • it will worn fast

Love the orange color--makes it easy to find in a bag. This grigri is compact, relatively friendly and extremely easy to use. I use it both in the gym and outdoors and love its compact size. Another great product from petzl

I have been able to use this a few times since I purchased it. Great device as I expected. Great price from Campsaver. Easy to use. Sturdy. Will last a long time. My 9 and 6 year old can use it with no problem. Can always trust Petzl.

The GriGri is ideal for use while cragging, either sport or trad, or at the gym. It is an ideal choice for projecting harder routes due to the effortless lock off, and is likewise the top choice for top-rope belaying for the same reason. Many people like carrying GriGris on multi-pitch climbs, but carrying a traditional belay device for rappelling two ropes is still needed and advised in this case.
