Comparable in brightness to others with higher lumens. Light scatter is also better. I expect the battery life to be longer with the lower lumens. Operation is easy and straightforward. I chose this over the Black Diamond Spot that had complicated controls and a yellow dot on the light projection. I put the teo side by side with the light on and I liked the Tikka better.
