Pieps Freeride
I bought this for my dog when he is out in the backcountry with me. He doesn't ski or snowboard but like to get out and come along. If there was a slide I wanna be able to locate him ASAP!!! I have two of the regular Peips and LOVE them, the Freeride doesn't have all the nice features but like I said, its for the dog and I don't expect him to be looking for me, just me looking for him (God forbid)

turns on , holder has a lot of padding , pretty basic , small and light

Lightest beacon on the market.
I bought this primary for kids and guests who would not know how to do an efficient search as a means to locate them should disaster strike.
The Freeride Beacons are very light and perfectly suited for that purpose. Due to them having a single antenna, for general purpose a 3 antenna beacon is still recommended.
