I was hoping to use it for hunting but it makes to much noise. Otherwise, I really like it. It is convenient. I use a 32oz bottle. It is light weight and stores in a small space like your pocket when it is empty. I take it with me wherever I go. I love it.

Great concept for storing liquids for backpacking to minimize weight and space. Has a slight plastic taste with water. Might be better to use these for alcohol to mask the plastic.

Amazingly light and packable water bottle from Platypus. Fills easily. Seals perfectly. It fits in your pocket when empty.
Rolls up to take up zero space when in transit.
Awesome product for hiking, camping and everyday use.

Perfect everyday water

I've used this with many activities. From hiking to mtn biking. It fits easily into a small waist pack, or into a day pack as a back up to large water bottle for a long hike or ride. I've had zero leaks and the pull cap works great.

Platypus 1 liter bottle

Used these for a weekend, they worked great. Had no problems drinking from them however I liked removing the cap to drink. Very light and easily fold away after use. Used one for carrying alcohol. Stayed sealed nice and tight. Pretty sweet little bottles.

Excellent size

Ive always been a fan of the Platypus Softbottle and recently purchased the larger size. This is an excellent product for summer hiking. I used to have to take a couple smaller bottles to get the same amount. Much more convenient with just one bottle. Durable product and doesnt leak!

Love this platypus bottle at a great price point. I recently lost my original platypus bottle that had lasted for 4 years. It’s my favorite bottle to travel with because it takes up nearly zero space in my luggage.

Great collapsible bottle

I decided to purchase this bottle (basically a smaller version of the 2L one I have for myself). I pack this bottle in my dog's backpack for when we go on hikes. Very convenient! Just a bit hard to dry out...

Lightweight, great for multi-days hikes

Platypus made very lightweight and water pouch and it is prefect for multi-day hikes.
I used it for Patagonia and in general it works great. except I was planning to use it with Sawyer Mini water filter, however, Sawyer filter and Platypus water pouch are will NOT securely fit.

The only complain is it does NOT provide any easy way to hold the unit. I've seen many water pouch that has a metal ring that allow people to use a carabiner, not an option for this. I have to buy an water holder carabiner from Amazon to be able to hook the Platypus to my shoulder strap for easy access.

Platy collapsible bottle

This is a good collapsible bottle that works well as a backpacking tool that is ultralight, compact, and capable of holding a good amount of water. This bottle is also filter compatible and threaded to accommodate a filter system.

Platypus Soft Bottle

For backpacking the soft bottle is what you want. I only use one drinking cup and several soft bottles now when backpacking. The platypus soft bottle is much lighter than a traditional hard watter bottle and does the same job. Empty into a drinking cup when at camp or drink staight from the bag when hiking.

Lightweight

Lightweight product for people who are trying to loose some weight in there pack. Takes up just about no room when empty compared to a normal water bottel. Can fit two or more side by side and still have room. Have no used them yet on the trail but look forward to ussing them.

  • camper or non-backpacking trips
