Me: 5'9", 155#, hips 39.5" Bought: Medium. I have two other pair of medium Avrils in Gravel and Green, and both fit perfectly in hips and length. Unfortunately, the Dark Cherry medium was on the tighter side in the hips and was too short. While the tight hips could have been solved by my dropping 5 lbs, the hem came to the top of my ankle bone and was certainly too short. Great color however! Wish they'd worked out for me.
