Reviews & Ratings for Primus EasyLight Lantern with Piezo Ignition
— 5 reviews — Page 1
Plenty of light for any backcountry purpose. Very small design for a mantle style lantern. Runs on the same gas as many stoves. Nice hard case...all in a very manageable weight for what you get.
Just bought this for a canoe trip. It worked great right out of the box and its super simple to set up and get going. Lots of light if needed or turn it down for some low light.
Weather got down to 4 degrees Celsius a few nights, so in the morning id fire this thing up just outside of my tent and warm my hands up with. Pretty handy little option, it pumps heat out of the top.
My only complaint is that the glass cracked on night number 4. It was hanging from a nail in a tree and the glass must have been touching the bark of the tree. Huge crack all the way around. My fault, trees fault, doesn't matter.
Anyone know where i can buy new glass?
Pros:
Small
compact
lots of light and heat
Cons:
brittle glass

all you need is a smaller gas. also be very careful while taking off the top metal cover, fragile glass. The attached metal hanging cable comes with a hook at the cable end to form a loop, might require extra care during windy days

The lantern seems well made and very simple to use. I have not used the lantern backpacking yet but the case looks like it will keep it well protected.
