Solid pot with some pros/cons - Primus PrimeTech Pot Set

I bought this pot set to take on long backpacking trips where we are cooking real food, eg quinoa, pasta, rice for 2-3 people. I probably would not choose this pot again over the other options out there. I like the heat exchanger on the larger pot; it's hard to quantify the real world fuel savings, but you can see when water is boiling how heat is dispersed along the perimeter of the heat exchanger. The smaller pot doesn't have this feature, and also doesn't have the ceramic non-stick coating, just the standard hardened aluminum finish. The pot grip that comes with the set is pretty classy when new, as it locks into place and is super secure. If you use it on any other pot besides Primus however, the clamping mechanism gets bent out of shape and wont grip securely anymore. The lid is not very durable; it cracked within a few weeks of use, and melted/ deformed at the edges when it was used on a stove with a windshield.
Overall, a decent pot set, but I would recommend finding an alternative lid.
Pros:
nice pot grip
Cons:
lid is not durable
Would Recommend:
No
