I bought this pot set to take on long backpacking trips where we are cooking real food, eg quinoa, pasta, rice for 2-3 people. I probably would not choose this pot again over the other options out there. I like the heat exchanger on the larger pot; it's hard to quantify the real world fuel savings, but you can see when water is boiling how heat is dispersed along the perimeter of the heat exchanger. The smaller pot doesn't have this feature, and also doesn't have the ceramic non-stick coating, just the standard hardened aluminum finish. The pot grip that comes with the set is pretty classy when new, as it locks into place and is super secure. If you use it on any other pot besides Primus however, the clamping mechanism gets bent out of shape and wont grip securely anymore. The lid is not very durable; it cracked within a few weeks of use, and melted/ deformed at the edges when it was used on a stove with a windshield.
Overall, a decent pot set, but I would recommend finding an alternative lid.
I have had these poles for several years, and have put at least a few hundred miles on them. So far, I am totally satisfied with their durability, comfort, usability, and weight/size. I chose the aluminum model over the carbon version mainly because of the price difference, and am happy with my decision. They are very light, feel very sturdy, and are very compact when taken apart. I find this feature most useful when traveling, as they fit into most dimensions of suitcase or backpack. The one thing that I would have changed was the sizing of the the wrist straps--they came with a large, which has a lot of extra material when sized to my smaller hands.
I was hoping when I got this jacket for a mountain of fluff. I was not disappointed. I got a M based off Montane's sizing measurements, though I am often a W's Sm, and I was mildly surprised that the fit is perfect. That never happens when you order online! Lots of bum coverage, easy to move and layer in, and the quality seems top notch. Can't wait to go to the mountains!
