this is an amazing jacket...if you're over 5'5". the proportions of this jacket won't work well for you if you're petite...the arms are really long and there is a ton of extra room/fabric in the upper arm/chest area. however, with that said, this is an incredibly warm jacket. i wish it fit bette.r

After extensive research on warm, waterproof jackets for our 14 year old daughter we were thrilled to find this parka available for purchase in the US (it is widely available in Canada). We were ready to "splurge" on a warm, near-waterproof down coat for our teenager to use for many years to come. We discovered that the "well-known highly visible Canadian brand" actually does not fit her well in any style. The beauty of the Quartz is in both its subtlety (the brand patch on the sleeve is less glaring) and amazing light weight. It also has a generous cut for wider hips without adding bulk at the shoulders. It was actually quite perfect...but perfect for me. My daughter did not like the extra length at the back. We pleaded with her, explaining the logic of the styling and how Canadians know how to create a warm, durable coat. I hope more Quartz products become available here in the future. It was easy to both order from CampSavers and execute the return. We will definitely consider CampSavers again in the future.
