May be a life-saver
I bought one of these a few years ago to have on hand at our lake cottage in Canada "just in case." Didn't have occasion to use it until this fall, when I managed to cut a gash in the back of my left leg just above the ankle WITH A CHAINSAW. Needless to say, there was an immediate gush of blood from the wound, which wasn't going to stop soon. My wife fetched the QuikClot sponge from storage and tied it onto my ankle. Because of our remote location, we had to call a float plane to get me to town, so it was two hours after the injury before I arrived at the Emergency Room. The QuikClot sponge controlled the bleeding very effectively during that time. Take my word for it, get one of these if you ever do anything that might start the blood flowing! This device may well have saved my life!

Have not use it...
