Most Helpful Positive Review Great Jacket
This is an amazing jacket. It is super thin yet still provides plenty of protection. It does provide warmth, but I would not rely on it for that purpose. It is perfect for physical activities in cold weather. It sheds light rain well. It does fit a slight bit tight, but I'm fatter so I would just say it is 'trim'. The arms are perfect. I am 5'9'' and 190lbs and the Large fits well. Looks super sha

Good comob of light windshell/softshell/mid layer.

by Kyle, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on April 9, 2018
This jacket provides light wind resistance, not much water resistance, a tiny bit of warmth, and great breathability. So it's really a little bit of everything, useful for aerobic activities in mild weather. Don't expect it to be a full on windshell or softshell, more of a hybrid. Can be worn comfortably as a base layer. A little tight in the chest.

Amazingly light rain shell

by Dave, from NC, United States Written on February 2, 2018
I got this to wear on cold rainy days, and pulled it out to use over a fleece shirt when I ran in the snow a few weeks ago. It kept me dry while I ran, and kept me toasty warm. The jacket itself is quite thin, but stretchy, and does a decent job at blocking some wind (in addition to being waterproof/resistant). It breathes well, too, unlike some raincoats (which are like wearing trash bags). The first one I bought fit somewhat close and I returned it to size up. For reference, I'm 6'6", 235 lbs, and usually wear a XL in most RAB jackets (but I'm a XXL in this).

Boreas Best gear for the money

by Tmmtommyboy, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on October 2, 2016
The Rab Boreas is a great piece of gear I own this and the hoodless version. They breath very well, shed snow and light rain and pack small. I take it on every backpacking and travel trip. I have had one before for two years still going strong.

Rab Boreas Pullover

by Robert B., from MA, United States Written on January 4, 2016
Although highly rated this garment didn't work out for me. Wrists loose, hood covered eyes and. bunched behind the neck. There wasn't much gain compared to my Arcteryx squamish.

Think of your favorite piece of gear. Chances are that it is one that goes with you almost everytime you walk out the door. When a piece of gear goes with you everytime you walk out the door it covertly forms a part of every adventure and every experience that shapes you. These aren’t the pieces that sit in your closet all summer waiting for snow, or live in the bottom of your pack waiting for foul weather to descend. These are the pieces that you take to the rock, to the sun and snow. You take them to the bar and the dog park. These are the pieces that you live in everyday. Meet the Boreas Pull-On. Your new favorite piece of gear.

Buy two

by MrSir2u, from MI, United States Written on August 5, 2014
My new favourite piece for X-C and the like. Soft, comfortable, light weight, thin, stretchy, packable, breathable, wind resistant, hooded (almost snorkel like), long sleeves, long body, snow shedding and dries fast. Buy two. 5' 11" 165lbs. got a large burnt umber (even like the colour).

Rab pullover not bad

by Mike2337, Written on December 12, 2013
I haven't got much of a chance to use this in different settings, but I took it under a fleece with a pack snowshoeing in Nebraska cold weather and it worked as advertised. No accumulation of sweat behind the pack. Lightweight. Blocks wind pretty well. Good purchase.
