in w.'s Review of Rab Electron Jacket - Women's

So I tried the Rab Infinity Endurance, the Continuum and the Electron because I didn't know which jacket would work for me. I ended up keeping the Electron.

The infinity Endurance was very nice and VERY warm, and a little puffier than the Electron but I felt like it was sort of overkill for what I needed. This Electron jacket is very attractively cut (looks way better than the photo) and warmer than both the Microlight and the Continuum. (Husband has a microlight, loves it). I live in the PNW so getting a jacket that can, if needed, comfortably fit under a rain shell was important, the Electron does. The Infinity Endurance was a bit too bulky for under a rain shell (not impossible but not ideal). Of all of the jackets, I thought this had the most attractive cut. Also, the down is not visible through the Pertex fabric on this one, which kind of bugged me a bit about the lighter color on the Infinity. I got a size small, and I do think they run a bit big, as I generally wear medium in most clothes. I think I'm actually kind of between a small and medium in Rab. The Electron is warm and sits somewhere in between the lighter jackets like the continuum and microlight and the beefier warmer ones like the infinity. I feel like this is going to be a great all around jacket. I think it will be great for sitting around at camp as well as at moderate altitude. With layering I expect it to be truly versatile.
