Reviews & Ratings for Rab Endurance Down Mitt - Mens

I bought this mitt for both hiking and skiing. First off, these are great for hiking and mountaineering. I throw them on when I’m nearing the summit and usually keep them on for the way down. They’re super lightweight too which is nice and can be used as a backup/emergency mitt. So for lightweight/emergency use they are great. They problem is when you need to use an ice axe or ski poles. They are very warm mitts, but the (very little) down in the palm and inside of thumb gets compressed and pushed out to the side. This means that the cold goes right through the mitt and will give you cold fingers. So for more technical use I wouldn’t recommend these. In the end, I ended up returning them for the rab 8000 mitt instead, which has synthetic insulation in the palm. Hope this helps
