excellent jacket
Used this jacket on a winter camping trip in the Beartooth wilderness MT. Built and stayed in snow shelters and snow shoed. The jacket was perfect for this kind of stuff, kept me dry, breathes amazingly well and is totally windproof.

bought this jacket twice
i used this jacket for about two years before it was somehow lost while traveling. after a small bit of moping, i immediately bought the same jacket again. i'm a big supporter of rab products. the thing about this jacket is that i can trust it. it's light enough that it always comes along, and the q...

Unsatisfied with eVent and Rab engineering
Had this jacket for 2 weeks. Often felt clammy inside, even just walking to the corner store in freezing Montreal winter. Not even close to being as breathable as the Gore-Tex Active I also bought and returned, or even the new Gore-Tex Pro jacket I finally settled with (Marmot Speed Light, I’ve test...

Good, but I liked OR Foray even better.
Good, but I liked OR Foray even better. Both have excellent enlarged pit-zips that really are useful to ventilate.

Rab Latok Alpine - S
Ordered a small size. Shoulders fit was good, but the jacket was way too long for my height (166cm). Seems to be a much better fit for taller guys of 175cm and above

Latok jacket
Fits true to size, very light, and incredibly warm for as light as it seems. I wear a base layer under the coat for my daily walks with my dogs and usually have to open vents because I am sweating after 20 minutes. The zippers are a bit stiff at first but if you move then up and down they quickly loosen up and move easily. It has kept me out of the wind, rain and snow so far and I have only needed to add vest underneath even in 30 mph winds snow and 10 degree weather walking in the mountains of Idaho. Amazing jacket and I own 2 other rab layers and going to buy another hardshell for my fiancé

Good jacket, slow delivery
The jacket is very lightweight. It fits me perfectly. My only complaint is that its delivery was late.

Continues to Amaze..
2nd year of ownership and I continue to be amazed by it's performance and durability. I am a cycle commuter in the greater Seattle area in addition to backpacking and hiking. Contrary to some reviews I find this shell breathable though it won't stay dry with my sweat rate cycle commuting as I am pushing up big hills at training pace. A huge perk being the hood goes over my bike helmet seemlessly. I often wear the shell on the cold morning bike to work and roll it up for an over-sized jersey pocket on the warmer way home. It keeps ALL wind and rain off me. It also still looks brand-new. It also dries very quickly.. I'm having a hard time not buying another one.. Best shell I've owned and I have had several Goretex shells which lost their ability to repel rain over time.

Hasn't rained yet
It's been a dry summer here in the Seattle area. I haven't had a chance to actually test the jacket during wet weather, but the construction quality is great. Sleeves are a bit narrow/tight but should be fine for me. I'm like to buy quality gear and this is my third RAB product.

Excellent all purpose shell
Great all purpose shell for most mountain adventures. Be aware that the sizing runs a bit small. It was necessary to size up to allow for layering. Otherwise, I highly recommend the Rab Latok Alpine.
