Tab is rad
LOVE this - lightweight but really warm in the teens - I have not vetted it in single digit temps yet, though... I think it runs true to size – I am usually a four or six on top and a two or four on bottom, and I ordered a small – it’s perfect with a little bit a room even for a sweater. The light gray is a good neutral and I see no feathers. My only “complaint” is the lining is more of a burnt orange than the true orange it appeared to be in the pics. Nonetheless, five stars from this woman.

Warm, well-made jacket but fit was odd for me
I ordered a 12 (US 8), knowing that Euro brands run a little small. I am 5'7", 140 and usually wear a US 6. The coat was lovely - bright color, well-made and warm. However, I found there to be far too much room in the hips which makes the coat puff our oddly. The rest of the coat fit me well, with enough room for layers underneath.
Pros:
- Warm, well-made
Cons:
- Odd fit at the hips

Reveiw of the RAB Microlight Parka
THe coat appears to be very well made although I have not had the opportunity to actually put it to a real test, which is why I am only giivg it 4 stars. I currently own a Marmot SOnya coat which they no longer make and I have been looking for something a bit warmer then that jacket, The RAB feels like it will be warmer and the material is a bit heavier. I had a difficult time with the sizing. I also ordered the RAB microlight hooded jacket in a xs and then an S. The xs fits great through the body but is really tight under the arms. The S allows more room to layer and is a little more loose fitting through the torso SO I like the S in the jacket.I ordered the size s in the parka which is not as tight under the arms and is also a little more loose through the torso. I am 5'3 " and weigh about 110. I may be in between sizes

strong, beautiful, lightweight and warm parka
I have worn Patagonia Fiona parkas for several years. Loved their colors and lightweight comfort. However, they were never quite warm enough for winters in N.M. Plus the colors have become very drab. My daughter recommended RAB after trekking Mont Blanc in comfort in her hot pink and purple jacket version of my parka. I decided to try this lovely blue, lined with hot pink parka. It is true to size, more heavily stuffed than Fiona and therefore more warm, but not bulky and even has some shape. My only complaint is that the parka only comes with attached hood. I would prefer a detachable hood (or no hood) since most of the time I prefer wearing a scarf. The hood is also a little small and tight for me, but my daughter loves it and feels its addition is a major plus. I am dealing with the hood because it is no bulky and can be folded down comfortably.
This is an expensive item, but I was able to purchase it for effectively half price due to sale plus coupon. So at half price, you almost can't turn it down!!
