I'm 6 ft, 183 lbs - active in all seasons on the wet coast of British Columbia. I got this RAB jacket to work for me on rainy hikes, backcountry ski tours and everything in between. The polar tec is super breathable and keeps you dry, though a little more prone to cold winds than similar gore text. Small difference but noticeable. The way R&B cuts this fabric into a jacket is another matter. First - fantastic pockets, nice hood. On the down side I found the cuffs really over built and claustrophobic - maybe even too long in the arms , and I have long arms. The zipper issue mentioned in previous post is true too - sometimes it takes a little effort to zip up. Not useful. It's a great jacket but the cut needs to be improved. I bought a large, but could have also fit snug in a medium. Worm in the details R&B.

I was in great need for a lightweight and breathable shell that I could use while touring on snowy days. Waterproof shell jackets were not going to cut it and soft shell never struck me as the best choice. This has been a great jacket so far. It breaths well and because of the lack of frills it is lightweight and packs down nicely. The two chest pockets are enormous and I can easily fit my skins in them for pre-work laps or quick transitions. The range of movement could be a little better in the arms (they are a tad short in my opinion). Another minor gripe is the storm flap on the back of the main zipper, it comes down too low and you have to hold it out of the way with two fingers and get the two zippers to meet with the remaining fingers. Not sure if that is just the cut of my jacket or if there are all like that, pain in the rear with cold hands. I recommend this jacket absolutely, for comparison I am 6'2" 190lbs and chose the large.
