Comfortable fit, very warm without a ton of extra bulk. The surface is soft, and though it won't be waterproof, it claims that wet weather warmth and protection will remain. Color is pleasing and will hide a bit of soiling. Hood is nice and can be cinched down to expose very little of you face to the elements. The scoop on the rear waist makes for a fairly flattering cut/silhouette. Size according to Rab measurements and opt for larger if in doubt or planning a lot of layering. Recommended

I am 5’7 137 lbs muscular, althetic build, no chest or hips but broad shoulders and a small fit perfect. I was worried about the fit since there were no reviews. I have room for my fleece jacket underneath and still have full range of motion in the shoulders which was my main concern. Sleeves are a great length and hit me about the nuckles, so it would work for someone an inch or two taller. Length is half way down my butt, which is great to keep the drafts out. Cinch cord on inside to keep drafts out. It stuffs into its left pocket nicely for backpacking. The hood is elastic so no drawstrings, which might concern some, but I usually wear a fleece underneath and a fleece earband so it will keep out drafts and hood rubbing on ear noise, when the winds are howling. Perfect for backpacking, hiking or everyday use. Hood would be too small to put a helmet inside, but I wear a much warmer jacket for skiing in bad weather anyways. I usually backpack in the Sierra Nevada’s and this jacket is perfect. I got the teal looking color and love it.
I say it fits similar to a Columbia or Patagonia which I also fit a small. I cannot wear a small in north face because of the shoulders.
