Good jacket... first time purchasing rab - Rab Strata Hoodie - Mens

I got this jacket because my TNF jacket was getting old and I didn't think that it was very warm for the price I paid. This jacket is really lightweight and feels great on the skin especially in the sleeves. Also the material that touches the front of your face when you zip it up all the way feels GREAT!! I would definitely recommend this jacket for anyone looking for a jacket that they can wear during Fall, Winter, and Spring. This jacket is super breathable. The hood does look a little boxy and weird looking but I like it because it's warm. I live in Maryland and we just got hit with a ton of snow (1/23/16 - North Potomac, MD received 30+ inches of snow) and this jacket kept me very warm when I went shooting the weekend after. I went to an outdoor range and was shooting for the majority of the day - close to 9-10 hours in the cold. Temperatures were in the 20s to 30s with winds up to 40mph. This jacket feels very thin but kept me warm. I also love how close the hood is to the face and shuts out the wind nicely. The jacket manages to keep its loft really nicely. The pockets are all very large and nice. The hand warmer pockets also have a nice soft and warm material on the inside that feel great. The only parts of my body that were cold were my hands and feet. My hands could've been warmer if I had better gloves on but since I was shooting I couldn't wear my nice warm mittens. The wind resistence on this jacket is great. Also the pertex microlight feels great to touch and isn't super loud but it is noticeable. I haven't worn this in the rain yet but it feels like it will be great for light to moderate rain. When I was shoveling the snow while it was snowing/blizzard I didn't get to test this jacket because I didn't recieve it yet. The shipping was good and I was kept updated well but I feel like it could have been a bit faster than it was. Also, on the website I ordered a black only model but I recieved the Black/Quince instead. Although online I didn't like it, the color isn't so bad. I also got this jacket on sale so it was a super good price Like Really Really good and I have to say good job and thank you to Camp Saver for that! This jacket is definitely warm and I can't wait to wear it to school. I have a TNF Denali and that TNF jacket is so much worse than this jacket at keeping me warm. The polartec alpha is great tech and I feel should be used in many more products. This is my first synthetic insulation product and I am happy to say that I am very pleased. The sizing is good for the most part but the sleeves are a bit long, however that is probably more about me because almost everything is too long in the sleeves for me. I love everything about this jacket and would definitely recommend it for anyone!
