The Rab vapour rise guide is one of my first choices for sub 30f hikes as I sweat easily. Designed to be worn all day. It's not a jacket you would want to be carrying as its quite heavy. It's biggest advantage is it's more breathable as the pertex equilibrium fabric is not completely windproof. The fleece lining helps keep you warm while moving moisture to the outer surface. The fit is normal. I,m 5'6 and 150lbs. Small has enough space for a base and midlayer if needed. The new version available for winter 2017/18 at campsaver looks like it could be even better with some polartec alpha insulation added to the front.
