Rab Vapour-Rise Lite Stretch Top - Mens - Maya - Large

I've recently begun running in the winter and my fleece top was just too heavy, making me sweat. To explain a little, this is winter in Vegas so my runs are in the 30's and 40's. Wanting something that would breath well but keep me reasonably warm, I picked up the Rab Vapour Rise Lite top. It was on sale so the price was right, encouraging me to give it a try. It's a very versatile top. When the weather is cold (mid 30's) I can avoid having to wear gloves by pulling my hands inside the long-ish sleeves. When I warm up or get hot, pulling up the sleeves or unzipping the deep chest zip helps cool me off without making me cold. I can wear a long-sleeve thermal layer on the colder runs or a short sleeve layer when the it's in the 40's. Breathability is great--almost as good as my fleece top but the Vapour Rise does a good job of stopping the wind. It's not windproof, especially the stretchy panels, but anything windproof will have me soaked in short order. The tricot lining feels fine against my sking--I don't notice it, which is a good thing. I have a Rab Cirrus windshirt and I thought I could run in it but it ends up soaked with sweat within 30 minutes. I'll keep the windshirt in my running pack for when I need wind protection after a run.
