Most Helpful Positive Review Great mid-weight jacket for climbing
We climbed El Cap early season - so it was wet and cold- I was very happy to have had such a light weight, easy to use, and warm jacket. It was easy to pack in stow pocket and clip to my harness when not in use. When I needed it, I clipped it to the anchor and opened it up - never at risk of dropping it thousands of feet below me. Since it was wet, I needed a synthetic quick drying jacket and this worked fabulously! It is true to size- I wore a medium and I am always a medium. I do wish it was more fitted just for warm and style but that is low priority since it is a technical layer, not a go ...

nice compressible puffy

this jacket is properly sized, super compressible, and well made. if you want weather protection and compresssibility, this is a great choice. it is not the warmest or most breathable though, but still a top choice for the ski down or while belaying.

Love it!

I have two xenon x hoodies, in small and medium! I'm very happy with the quality. The jacket is lightweight, packs really small, and it's super warm! I live in Chicago area where it can get really cold with freezing winds. I put on merino t-shirt under the xenon x hoodie, and I'm super toasty. If you are looking for an alternative to dawn jacket look no further!

not very warm

It's a beautiful, well made coat. It's not insulated enough for sitting around camp in the early morning or evening, but would be great for moving. It's extremely light, compressible and breathable, and blocks wind pretty well. I'm a medium but had to exchange for a small, and the arms are still a bit long. The shoulders are broad and hip is narrow in this jacket.
