A cracked nut cracker
The nutcrackerlooked sturdy enough to crack black walnuts. I cracked about 6 nuts. Then it broke into a few pieces. The metal ridge must be defective. I'm very disappointed.

Right tool for the job
This nutcracker is sturdy and well-made. While attempting to crack black walnuts, my husband and I broke two nutcrackers. I especially like the freestanding design that grips the counter while I work.
