Love these boots. Were comfortable all day, right out of the box, and adjusted nicely when needed during the day. As expected, the GTX model is a little warm for summer hiking in Arizona and California. These things are so comfortable, you'd almost be tempted to wear them around town.
Super happy with these hiking shoes! Extremely happy I was recommended to get these! Also, even though I have not used for all wearing situations, I am more than comfortable that these shoes will perform the task at hand and then some!

I purchased the Alp Trainers back in June 2011. The shoes have seen only light use and I have only put about 20 miles on them and the heal has torn apart on both heals. Tried to contact Salewa via email and they were unresponsive. Ended up throwing them away after waiting for a reply and went back to Salomon. Very disappointed Salewa.

I took these out for a coastal hike in NSW last week for the first time. They feel very sturdy and well constructed. The "No Hotspot" blister free guarantee seems to be good as they were instantly comfortable (Although I only did about 20k).
