I have been a long time Saloman fan but disappointed in last pair of gtx trail runners. So I expanded my search range and decided to give the Salewa a try. Way different features in shoe but very well built. Came with 2 different insoles which is nice. Love the Vibram soles as they are the gold standard. Still very early in process to give final star rating. I wear a size 43 aka 9.5-10 US with prominent bunions so I don't mind a little wider (read larger size) shoe. I ordered a 10 and was sent a UK10 not a US 10. The shoe feels ok but I have tweaked the insole and lacing and it seems fine. Thus the drop in stars is a knock on the company - not the shoe.

Bought these shoes one month before a planned hiking trip. Started wearing them as soon as they arrived. Fit was as close to perfect as I've ever experienced, and straight out of the box the EVOs were amazingly supportive and comfortable. Looking forward to using them on trails next week. Absolutely love the shoes and recommend them highly.

One of the best pairs of hiking shoes I own. The climbing zone is great. Shoes is ridig yet flexible enough for all day. Very comfortable. I will purchase another pair ;-)

70 yr old with bad legs, knees from combat make finding any type of comfortable shoes difficult. These are as good as I have found. Bought a second pair.

1st purchase of this brand, and couldn't be more pleased. Great fit , ability to control heel, effective insole system. Long history of knee problems, and these are supportive w/o being stiff and heavy.
