Too much convex shape in the sole. Also the insole system is a good idea on paper but functionally uncomfortable.

Speed Ascent GTX Hiking Shoe

These shoes are well made, and it is easy to adjust to the "rolling gate" system. However, I'm having trouble getting them broken in. First time out on a peak ascent in New Hampshire I returned with multiple blisters (10 miles + 3,000 ft elevation gain). The shoes claim to be "blister proof" with the right socks... Perhaps they will be once I get some more mileage on them, but I've been forced to switch back to an older pair of shoes for longer hikes in the mean time. I still have high hopes for the shoes... we shall see.
