Poor construction, low overall build quality, cheap
I bought this because online it looked pretty nice. When it arrived it was clear before assembly that the construction wasn't sturdy. Long thin walled poorly painted steel tubes make up the structure and laminated particle board give it the wooden look. I had to re-tap one of the brackets that attach the top to the bottom because it wasn't fully tapped and there was paint on the threads. There is a clear change in slope from the base piece to the top piece due to insufficient structure and fastening of the top to the bottom. The bottom is vertical and the top leans back. I have a 17lb carbon fiber road bike on the top, so the weight shouldn't be an issue. I have a 25lb carbon fiber mountain bike on the bottom, once again well below their rated values.
Bottom line I wouldn't recommend it. The aesthetic is ok from a distance, but up close you realize it's garbage quality. At $208 it's very overpriced, though I've seen it for sale at higher prices than on campsaver. I had a similar bike rack that I liked, however, my ceiling is too tall to use it now as it relied on compression between floor and ceiling to stay upright (RAD Cycle Woody Bike Stand ~$50). I would look for that, it's simple and sturdy.
