Good choice

Straight off the bat I was impressed with the light weight of the Scarpas. Experienced hikers will know that the lighter the boots you have, the more energy you will have at the end of the day.

I'm always worried about blisters, but these boots came with me to the NZ Southern Alps with virtually no wearing in.

Waterproofing broke out on me in just one trip.

Don't Use these for icy snow trips. I used them and after just a couple of weeks the boot broke apart and water would come through their "HD" waterproofing quite easily. If you are going to be relying on the waterproofing in these boots look elsewhere.

Scarpa Charmoz mountaineering boots

Excellent fit out of the box. I use the Scarpa Mont Blanc boots and the Charmoz are a close fit. ii will be taking them on some alpine climbs this summer in the PNW and here in CO. A nice lightweight 3 season boot. Crampons fit easily. Incredible price from CampSaver. Superb service, as always. I like this company and will be doing more business with them in the future.
