Shoe fit to size and was very pleased with that. The shoe is stiff and will need a little breaking in but gives excellent support. Used it on a 8 mile hike with a lot of rocky steep hills first day. Very impressed. Not quit as sticky as I hoped for. I have pair of Scarpa Crux that is much more stickier but I love the mid height support that this shoe gives. Overall I like it a lot.

Bought these shoes becasue i once had a pair of the ones without the raised ankle support. Figured it would fit the same and it did not. Also provided no ankle support so raised ankles are useless. Just got a pair of the Scarpa Cruz and that is the best approach shoe i have ever owned.
