No need to size down
Unlike higher end shoes, these do not need to be sized down. Good grip, solid shoe for the price. Are there better/higher quality shoes? Yes. But for the price, these are a good deal (pretty much can always find these on sale). I like that the width on both the men's and women's versions are identical.

Great climbing shoes, great price!
I love these shoes! Great quality, great price. Perfect for beginner/intermediate climber. I wasn’t sure if i would like he lacing, but i do! I usually have Velcro climbing shoes. The only downside is I had to exchange my size 8 for a half size up. I am normally a size 8 and I am hoping to exchange them for an 8.5.

Good starter shoe
Bought for my wife as she starts off climbing. Sizing on these runs true to size as far as I can tell, so you probably don't want to follow the conventional wisdom of going a few sizes small. I'm sure they'll stretch given that they are unlined leather, but she complained loudly about even a half size smaller (she's a 37.5/6.5 and the 37 was pretty painful, but her feet are on the wider side in the ball/toe area). I expect these to be pretty comfortable for her once broken in.
